Who we are

America’s Angels believes that every child deserves a safe, nurturing family. It is the goal of America’s Angels to provide quality care to children and help each child achieve their full potential within the least restrictive environment of a family setting.

Through the appropriate training of our Foster Parents, we provide a nurturing, caring, and safe environment for the children in our care. America’s Angels develops resources to meet the challenges of children and families. America’s Angels is comprised of experienced and well trained professionals. Our staff provides the support to Foster Families through monthly home visits, training, and case management activities. In addition, America’s Angels implements conservative supervision practices in order to provide the maximum protection possible.

What We Do

America’s Angels is committed to a team approach in administrating the program as well as providing care and treatment for children. America’s Angels utilizes trained, experienced full time staff, subcontractors and consulting service providers in the community to meet the needs of each child accepted into foster care and the foster families who serve the children.

A strength based approach is used for America’s Angels treatment planning: Goals are positive and a need cannot be addressed without a corresponding strength to resolve it. Every effort is made to include families of origin in the treatment planning process. Connections and continuity is preserved for each child as much as possible, including making every effort to provide the family and child every opportunity to build upon their strengths and by working to keep sibling groups placed together in the same foster home.

America’s Angels participates and collaborates with other social agencies and planning groups in the community for the purpose of coordinating, planning, and expanding services concerned with strengthening family life and services for children and their families.

How we do it

At America’s Angels we have a passion for what we do. Starting with our Board of Directors, and through all levels of operation, America’s Angels staff and foster parents all share the same vision – to provide safety and stability for children in need. We want our children and certified foster homes to emerge with new strength, commitment and direction. We provide for the safety, permanency, and well-being of every foster child placed in our care. We want to ensure that our children are provided with the necessities and guidance needed to ensure that they make a smooth transition and become contributing adult citizens to their community. We will always strive for Excellence, Integrity, and Compassion.

America’s Angels offers child care, treatment services (including for children with emotional and pervasive disorders, and mental retardation), and respite services.

America’s Angels admits children who meet our admission policy guidelines, to include children with child-care services needs and treatment needs, into foster care. All placement decisions shall be made in the best interest of the child and justified according to the program’s eligibility criteria, the client’s needs, the ability to provide required services, and the availability of foster families to provide those services.

In the event America’s Angels adopts a change in the admission policies and/or eligibility criteria for the children, that requires a change in the conditions of our permit with DFPS Licensing, the LCPAA/Program Director or Executive Director will request an amendment to the permit. America’s Angels will only accept children whose age, gender, and needs are specified on our permit.
